Seller self-learning resource | Draft for internal approval | 31 July 2026

Welcome to the SportsMart Seller Learning Centre

This learning path helps authorised Hyperlocal Seller personnel understand how to set up the account, map products, maintain stock, process orders, handle returns and settlements, protect customer information and get support. Complete the modules in the order shown below. The course is designed for independent reading and practical application; a trainer is not required for ordinary completion.

Estimated completion time

Approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours for the complete Hyperlocal Seller path, excluding account verification, product approval and live operational practice. You may complete the modules in more than one sitting.

Before you begin

Keep the following available: your Seller Account ID; accepted Hyperlocal Seller Terms Package; approved location details; bank and GST information where applicable; product/source documents; one sample product; one sample stock record; and access to the approved Seller Portal or training environment.

Your Hyperlocal Seller learning path

Step 1 — Set Up Your Hyperlocal Seller Account

Learn the seller-of-record role, account and bank verification, user access, approved location, maximum 10 km serviceability, tax readiness and go-live controls.

Step 2 — Add Products and Keep Stock Accurate

Learn how to search and map the exact SportsMart catalogue product, submit the seller offer for Admin approval, maintain product evidence and keep location-level stock accurate after every sale or stock event.

Step 3 — Process Orders, Pack and Deliver

Learn how to verify, accept or reject, pick, inspect, photograph the exact product before packing, invoice, pack, photograph the sealed parcel after packing, upload the order-linked images in the Seller Portal and complete Valid Handover without substitution or unsupported status updates.

Step 4 — Handle Returns, Payments and Settlements

Learn return and RTO receipt, evidence, Return QC, cause classification, payout eligibility, commission, settlement review and the dispute process.

Step 5 — Get Help, Protect Your Account and Grow

Learn routine support, formal grievances, urgent escalation, customer-data rules, account security, counterfeit/safety response and reliable growth practices.

How to study each module

Use the same five-part method throughout the course:
1. Learn — Read the rule and understand why it exists.
2. See — Review the example, formula, workflow or scenario.
3. Do — Complete the practical task using your seller information or a safe sample.
4. Check — Confirm the system status, physical product, documents and evidence agree.
5. Continue or escalate — Move forward only when the action is authorised and clear. Stop and use the approved support route when serviceability, tax, product identity, stock, safety, security, payment or evidence is unclear.

Hyperlocal Seller essentials

• The Hyperlocal Seller is the independent seller of record for the customer product sale.
• Standard Marketplace Commission is 12% of Product Taxable Value unless an accepted Seller-specific schedule states otherwise.
• Hyperlocal serviceability is limited to a maximum of 10.00 km from each approved location. A serviceable pincode does not override the distance limit.
• There is no default statewide, inter-State or national Hyperlocal Seller fulfilment right.
• SportsMart Admin maintains the Master Product Catalogue. The Hyperlocal Seller maps the exact product/SKU/variant and approved-location offer and requests Admin approval.
• SportsMart controls and updates the customer-facing Marketplace selling price. The Hyperlocal Seller must provide accurate MRP, procurement cost, tax and other relevant information and report material changes.
• Only genuine, physically available, saleable and approved stock may be offered.
• Standard orders should ordinarily be accepted or rejected within 15 minutes and made ready for pickup within 30 minutes after acceptance, subject to a recorded exception.
• Before marking an order Ready for Pickup, the Hyperlocal Seller uploads clear order-linked reference photos in the Seller Portal showing the exact product before packing and the sealed, labelled parcel after packing. These photos are the Seller’s fulfilment reference and may be used later as supporting evidence. SportsMart Admin approval of each photo is not required before dispatch.
• A customer refund, NDR or RTO does not by itself establish Seller fault.
• Material account, payment, credential, data or integration Security Incidents must be reported without undue delay and within 24 hours after awareness, unless a shorter applicable deadline applies.

Course completion rule

Complete Modules 1 to 5 in the order shown and answer every self-check question correctly before marking the learning path complete. Where any self-check answer is unclear — particularly on counterfeit or product safety, payment diversion, customer data and account security — review the relevant module again before continuing. Self-learning completion does not by itself activate the seller account, approve a product or location, change commercial terms or expand user permissions.

Start check

Before continuing, confirm:
□ I know my Seller Account ID and approved location.
□ I can access the current accepted Seller Terms Package.
□ I understand that Hyperlocal Seller serviceability is location-specific and capped at 10 km.
□ I have one sample product and stock record for practice.
□ I understand that before-packing and after-packing photos are Seller-submitted order references, must be uploaded against the correct order, and do not require SportsMart Admin approval before dispatch.
□ I will not perform a live action when the required authority or evidence is unclear.
